How soon after fertilizing tomato plants can I water them?

You’ll want to water the plants thoroughly BEFORE you fertilize, otherwise you’ll risk burning them. The fertilizer will slowly soak into the moist soil. Wait until the top couple inches of the soil is dry before watering again.
