Q.Wasps Eating Tomatoes
When picking my tomatoes I noticed a large amount of yellow jacket wasps eating the tomatoes. They appear to prefer the Cherokee purple and best boy while avoiding the Roma bush. What can I do to stop them?

They may be looking for a sweet treat. Be sure to pick the tomatoes as they begin to ripen. They will continue ripening on the kitchen counter. Also pick up any fallen fruit that may be attracting them. If you don't want to kill them, you can cover your tomatoes with a fine netting or row covers. You also can plant artemisia near your tomato plants. It is reputed to repel wasps.
If you want to get rid of them, you need to find their nests, and follow the instructions below or use traps.
