Wandering jew as a ground cover in Zone 9

We have found that it can be invasive, surrounding and covering other plants and if not contained growing into sod areas. What is you experience?

Yes, wandering jew can certainly be invasive. It can be used as a groundcover if precautions are taken (such as using physical barriers, trimming back the plant to the ground before winter, and removing any that escape), but it’s perhaps best to use as a houseplant or a plant for hanging baskets to avoid the risk of invasiveness.
