Volunteer hardy hibiscus

I’m getting some volunteer hardy hibiscus today. Can I plant them in a pot until next week, when I can get my flower bed ready?

Yes, you can plant them temporarily in pots. Heeling in is another option, but it sounds like pots may be easier for your situation:
