Q.viburnum hedge turning brown

Zone 32789 | fmparrish added on May 15, 2017 | Answered

sections of my viburnum hedge are turning brown and dying.
Other hedges in the neighborhood area are also suffering from dead leaves and branches.
Don’t know what to do, should I cut off all the dead branches
I live in Orlando. FL

This could be due to a few issues.
Viburnum can be susceptible to Armillaria root rot, Botryosphaeria canker is a fungal disease that causes leaves, even entire branches, to wilt and die.
These links have more information.
I would suggest also taking samples to your County Extension Office. Since multiple gardens are effected.
I'm including a link to locate your nearest office.
