Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI tried a vegetable garden underneath a huge eucalyptus tree and found out the hard way that the roots inhibit the growth of the veggies. If I would cut the tree, but leave the roots in the ground, would they still affect the veggie garden? Would I need to remove the soil and put new soil in with or without the roots removed?

Your best bet in this situation would be to implement raised beds, as taking out the roots will be quite an undertaking, though not impossible.
