Vegetable Plants

I planted my plants by June 21, the deadline (I think around the 18th). I had an old decayed bag of coffee grounds. Two days afterward, my plants started dying. I lost four zucchini, and now one of my best tomato plants which is about 6 ft tall, looks like it is all but dead. What can I do? Please help!

There are many things that could kill the plants. The zucchini most likely were killed by vine borers. As for the tomato, there are several viruses and bacteria that will attack a full grown plant. Wilt is the most common of these.

This article will help combat vine borers in the future:

Not much can be done to stop the tomato diseases. Unfortunately, they can occur at any time. Most years, it will not be a problem, as long as you practice good crop rotation.
