Vegetable Plants in Containers

I have some roma tomato, hot peppers, eggplant, spinach, cilantro and strawberry plants in containers. Right now healthy outside with good sunlight. I am planning to know more about how I can make them live even in zone 5 winters. I came across on web about growing plants using light. So can anyone suggest me how and what I can arrange for my plants to keep it growing instead of dying?

Thanks. . .
