Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHELP!! Just started – our vegetable garden has some kind of a pest that’s uprooting the plants. They don’t appear to be eating the roots or leaves, just digging them up. We have a deer fence around the garden so we know it’s no large animal. Thank you very much for your help!

You don’t say where you’re located, so this suggestion may not apply, but armadillos would do that. They dig up everything looking for grubs, and they can dig under a deer fence or even crawl through the openings if large enough.
