The secret to successful outdoor planting of variegated ivy is to plant it in lightly shaded areas. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer. All ivies, whether green o rvariegated, should have regular feedings. They are used for groundcovers, garden specimens, hanging baskets, mixed containers, topiary and more.
