Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have two window boxes under windows at the front of my house. They are made of PVC and designed to self water. They are not very deep (8”) and long (8-9’). I have tried to plant various flowers in them…mostly annuals to add character to our house. They seem too shallow, even if I get very small annuals and I just haven’t seen the growth in the flowers I plant…I thought about using coco liners but am concerned I won’t have enough depth to get good growth. What should Ido?

You will be very limited on what you can grow in that shallow of a container. I would look into strawberries. These can tolerate shallow container pretty well. Coco liners can be ok, but they will not improve anything in the container.
You will either have to switch to a larger container, or use something with a very shallow root system.
