Untamed Bamboo

We’ve inherited a mature garden which includes bamboo having been planted amongst trees and pollinator bushes. I don’t want to run the risk of chemicals (unless I have to) for fear of damaging the other shrubs and trees in close proximity.
What is the best way to eradicate the bamboo without damaging everything else?

Physical removal methods are the most effective with bamboo, especially digging it up by hand or mowing the small plants. These articles will give you advice on bamboo removal:
