Unknown plant

I have a plant with leaves tall spiky and slim.The tuberous root resembles a large flat spider and instructions were to plant it flat.The flowers as yet not seen in three years should be tall similar and similar to a bottle plant. Hope you can recognise it

Could you include a picture of as many parts of the plant as you can? This would help me to help you identify the plant in question.
