Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have come across several white “ball like” mushrooms while digging. They are white, fungi like and totally underground. They are about the size of inside of what an old golf ball would look like. They are dense in feel.
Are these mushrooms? If not what are they? Are they usable?
Thank you for your assistance

They are one of the many “stinkhorn” fungus. Those are the young mushrooms before they emerge. There are many styles, shapes, and sizes, but aren’t likely harming anything.
