Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWhile on vacation, the women watering my plants outside missed a Japanese Maple in a pot on my side deck. It is not dead but some of the leaves have turned yellow. What can I do to save this plant? Should I prune the dead branches with the yellow leaves? Thank you

Check the branches to see if any have died off. If they snap off, those can be pruned away.
You can also do the bark scratch test.

Resume the care of your potted and tree and watch for recovery.
