Q.Ultra Boy Tomatoes: Determinate Or Indeterminate?
Hi and thanks! My sister bought some “ultra boy” tomato seedlings & shared a couple of spares with me. I usually grow heirloom tomato varieties, so I looked these up to make sure they don’t need different care and that I’ll know the methods to get the best yields, and was frustrated to find them listed in some places as determinate, and in others as indeterminate! I’ll have to prune a little, regardless, since I’m a container gardener, but I’d like to know for sure whether to use a lighter touch with the shears.

This is a high yielding, determinate cultivar. It will be best to let this variety do as it will.
I would, only, do pruning on dead or weak branches. It will waste no time producing growth that it doesn't need.
