types of plants for containers that require little water and care

I need help choosing appropriate container plants for Tucson, AZ. I do not want annuals or perennials, as I do not what to water them 2 or 3 times a day in the summer. I like cacti and succulents but know very little about their care when it comes to containers. Thank you.
