Q.Tulips

Anonymous added on May 30, 2011 | Answered

I wanted to know what the seed pod on the tulip is used for after they finish blooming? Can I plant that to make more bulbs? Not all of them grew this, but some did and it is where the flower was. It is green with seeds inside.

These are normally cut off with the flower stem, as tulips are best propagated through bulbs rather then by seeds.
