Tulips and Crocuses

Our crocuses are just starting to bloom and the temps here are only going to be in the 20’s at night for a week. Are they and our tulips, which have just started poking through the ground, okay without covering them with something?

Actually, they should be fine, as crocuses are well known to grow and even bloom in snow. The tulips should be fine too, but if any are blooming, the cold may affect the blooms, though the bulb itself will be fine and regrowth shouldn’t be a problem. If the plants are in an area that can be easily covered and you feel more at ease doing so, then you can toss a sheet over them at night but remove it during the day.
