Tulips

Can I leave tulip bulbs in the ground year after year and will they keep flowering? They are not a perennial tulip variety.

What is your growing zone? If you live in a cold climate, tulips certainly can stay in the ground year round. You can lift and divide bulbs every few years if needed.
If you live in a warm climate, tulips will need to be lifted each fall, to store and provide a chilling period, artificially.
So in a cold climate, tulips are perennial. In warm climates tulips can be grown as annuals.
