Tulip Bulbs

I have ordered some tulip bulbs and they will arrive about 45 days before it will be cold enough to plant them. Some say they can be stored in the fridge. Is this true?

Pre-chilling is simple. You just need to put them in a cool place for 12 weeks. A vegetable bin in a fridge or an unheated garage works well, just as long as temps stay below 45 F and the bulbs are not allowed to freeze solid.
