Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comLast spring, I dug up my tulip bulbs after they bloomed and have stored them in my refrigerator ever since (about 10 months). I meant to plant them in the fall and never got to it. I have since noticed that I missed a few and they are sprouting and blooming in my yard. My question is, should I plant the bulbs that have been in my fridge? They have long, white roots and the blubs seem to have grown. I live outside of Atlanta. Thanks!

Yes, you can go ahead and plant them in the garden. They have had an adequate cold period and need to be in the ground. As soon as the ground is workable, plant your bulbs in the desired location outdoors. They will grow and may bloom this year, but be aware that their blooms will be less impressive than it might have been due to the fact that they will not be well established.
