Q.Tuberose Only Bloomed In A Pot…not In The Ground

Zone Atlanta GA 30338 | Anonymous added on November 7, 2022 | Answered

For the past 2 to 3 years I have planted my tuberose tubers in pots and in the ground. The ones in the pots bloom. The ones in the ground don’t. I have just dug up the tuberose I had in the ground and will divide and store them for the winter. I have two questions. Based on the pictures below how do I divide these large bundles of tubers? I don’t know whether to divide them in half or quarters because they are large. Is there anything that I can do to get them to grow from the ground because I don’t really have enough space for so many pots. And I left three tuberose clumps in the ground so there are more than shown in the pics below.

The photos didn't come through but the soil in the ground may not be well draining and nutrient rich. Try adding some compost or manure to the soil and see if that helps.
