Q.Trumpet vine discoloration and lack of blooms

Zone Comanche, Texas (central Texas) | gkhardin added on July 2, 2015 | Answered

Our trumpet vine has turned a pale green and no longer produces flowers. It’s on a metal fence and is near our pools washout area. It’s about 3 years old and 9 feet tall but very sparse.

Your vine may have been contaminated or effected by a spill of pool chemicals to the soil.
You can try washing the soil with a clean water watering, but be mindful that to much water can kill your vine also.
