Why does my Canna lily curl up in Sun? When taken out of sun goes back to normal

Although these can handle full sun, they (like many plants) won't be able to tolerate quickly changing conditions. You must get them acclimated to the sun.

Start by putting them out for a few hours per day, until they don't react as much. Then you can start leaving them out until the cold weather returns. Then you will need to bring them in again.
