Q.Trimming Oleanders

Zone 84737 | ginaram5347 added on August 29, 2018 | Answered

I recently bought a home that has two huge Oleander bushes. They are more like trees. They are about 15 ft tall and as wide around. Can they be trimmed excessively or should I just let them be? Also I am going to take starts from them to add to other places in my yard.

Trimming them is not necessary, but it will not hurt them at all either. This is a way to shape them as you would like them. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/oleander/pruning-oleander-shrubs.htm
