Trimming Kalanchoe

How do I trim the kalanchoe I got for Thanksgiving to get it to grow up instead of out? How do I encourage it to flower again?
Thank you!

Your plant can benefit from a hard trim. Cut back to about 6 inches of growth left, and Put that in a higher light condition. It appears to be stretching due to a lack of light. To get that to flower again requires a little help on your part. You must reduce the light hours to 10 hours of light a day and 14 in pitch black for a month or so, followed by at least 14 hours of daylight after the month of increased darkness. During the dark month, reduce watering. If I can be of any more assistance, please let me know. You can email me at 6.schuster@gmail.com [1]
