Trimming Blueberries While Raining

We have Highbush blueberries, 6-8 years old, and trim the every season while dormant. Is it OK to trim them while it’s raining? I’ve heard it’s not.

It is not a good idea to perform any type of pruning in the rain. This increases the chances for developing fungal-related diseases, as spores tend to move about in wet conditions and can easily enter the plants through cut wounds.
