trimming a burning bush

Question

I want to trim a burning bush to shape it better before it gets too big. It has all green leaves now. If I shape it now ,will it still turn red later this year like it should?

You can trim burning bush now and it will still have fall color. Heavy pruning is best done during the dormant season.

You should prune in early spring, so I would wait until next year.
