Q.Tree roots

Zone Sacramento, California 95818 | Conrail added on February 2, 2016 | Answered

We have roots coming under the fence from the neighbor’s yard. They are in our flowerbeds and are very aggressive. How can I discourage these roots without hurting the neighbor’s trees or shrubs?

There is really not much to be done to stop invasive tree roots, other then remove the tree.
Careful inspections of your yard and property should be done to make sure the invasive roots are not causing damage to structures or underground pipes.
