Tree for Container

Question

This may seem a strange request, but I’d really like your advice on a good type of tree to grow in a container. Our dog is ill with cancer and when her time comes, we’d like to keep her ashes in a container with a nice tree so that we can always take this with us if we move to another house. It will be positioned in a sunny, south facing small garden. Can you advise on a good type of tree – something slow-growing, compact and nice to look at?
