Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI would like to plant a deciduous tree next to my home to shade the southwest wall. The tree will be within 5 ft. of the house. Any suggestions? A more columnar shaped deciduous bush would be ok too. Suggestions?

Anything that close to the house needs to be a very small tree or a foundation plant. Normally, trees are planted at least 15 feet from the house. Here are some ideas:
