Q.Tree Care/Abrasions

Anonymous added on June 20, 2011 | Answered

I live in south Louisiana. I have 2 trees (live oak and pear-flowering) I recently planted (in Feb). They are approximately a year old. Apparently, the ‘lawn boy’ has damaged the tree with mower or weed eater and has left abrasions on the base of the tree. Will these trees live and be healthy? They have showed no signs of dying, but what can I do to ‘repair’ the damage?
