Tree and Shrub Bark Damage (Eaten by Rabbits)

Question

Can you please advise if there is anything I can do to heal shrubs and small trees whose bark has been eaten by rabbits in the recent snowy spell. The bark has been stripped up to 18 inches from ground level.
