Anonymous added on September 10, 2012 | Answered

What is the recommended re-seeding procedure for bare patches in family lawn? Some parts are under fruit trees and lack good light. There is also a problem with moss.

Have you had the soil tested? Your soil pH may be too acidic, which will inhibit grass growth and encourage the moss. If you have not yet read it, this article may help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/moss/killing-moss.htm

This article should help with the bare patches: http://www.scotts.com/smg/goART2/InfoHowTo/seeding-lawns-bare-spots/art1400456/1700005/21300003/7800016
