Q.Transporting Peonies
I am moving from NE to NC and the truck will take approximately 10 days. How do I dig up my peonies and have them in a moving truck without dieing?

If you aren't moving till late summer it will help because your peonies will be dormant. But if you are moving sooner, that is fine, too. The article below from the peony society tells how to dig and divide. It says always divide the clump if you dig the whole clump. Trying to move a whole clump intact will just cause the peony to decline. I would plant your divisions in containers, then after you are moved and settled in, replant in the new garden.
