Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a white pine and a Capitata yew in containers and they need to be transplanted into larger containers. I know I will have to prune their roots. I live in Madison, WI, so when should I do this?

Repotting of trees is really no different than most other container plants in that this is normally done while the plants, or trees, are dormant. This makes it less tramatic for the plant. This is normally done in late winter/early spring.
