Q.Transplanting Perennials, Now, Fall Or Spring Is The Best Time?
Hello there! I recently added on to my garden and am looking to move 4 perennials. One is a yellow yarrow that was planted last year, a salvia rose marvel that was planted last year, a purple coneflower planted last year, and a coreopsis that was planted this year. All 4 plants are in bloom and currently flowering. Is it safe to move around the plants now or would it be better to wait for fall or spring? I am in zone 4 in Minnesota.

Summer is the worst time to move plants. Your best bet is to wait till fall. You need to do it at least six weeks before the advent of cold weather so the plants have time to become established. Here is more:
