Transplanting or partially burying no dormant grape vine

I have an ~4 year old Thompson seedless grape vine growing in an area on which I want to build a raised bed for vegetable gardening. I’ve had the vine in this location for 3 years, and this is the first year it has shown active growth. I intend to keep the vine in this raised bed and use drip irrigation to control the amount of water needed by plant type. The bed will be 15” high and filled with 12” of soil and compost. Which of these would be the best option:
1. Try to completely dig up the roots and immediately transplant the vine after the box is built.
2. Build the box around the vine, prune to 12” from the current bottom and fill in the soil around it (i.e. bury the current bottom 12” of vine.
I live in the NW corner of the San Fernando Valley, CA, USDA hardiness zone 9b, heat zone 8. Temperature this week has averaged 90 deg. F.
