transplanting lilac bush

I have three established lilac bushes I would like to transplant to a different area of the yard. When is the best time of year to transplant the lilac bushes?

Yes. Most transplanting takes place in spring or fall (preferably fall). If you can ensure that the majority of the roots and surrounding soil is lifted and replanted in an area with suitable growing conditions, you’ll have a greater chance of success. To reduce shock, trimming may help.
