Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have two Gardenia plants and they have both outgrown their space, one is seven feet tall and the other one is about six. I really don’t want to lose either of them, so I want to make sure I do this right. They are now in their second stage of blooming and I would like to transplant them as soon as they finish. I read your article and it was very helpful. Since my bushes are so large, how much should I cut them back? Should I use a shock treatment?

You can cut them back by up to a 1/3. Treating them for the shock of transplanting would also be helpful.
