Q.Transplanting Kumquat Tree In Central Florida
Hi, I purchased a home in Central Florida. I have a Kumquat tree growing right between to very mature and tall palm trees as well as a large hibiscus bush in front. That part of my yard only gets morning sun. ( East side of my house)That improves a little when the days get longer but not like it would on the south side. Should I transplant it and if so how would I do that. It is a tall 7-9 ft. slender tree. The branches are only a few feet long, I think that is because it is crowded by the other trees/bushes on 3 sides. The tree doesn’t have anything on the backside of it because that bumps up next to my front porch. Any advice you can give me would be very welcome.

It would do much better on the south side of the house as you suggest. They are full sun trees. Read these articles and see if you think you can attempt it yourself. You may need to call in a professional to make sure all the roots are dug up and the tree is moved carefully.
