Q.Transplanting hydrangeas

Zone Zone 5a, northern Illinois | ninefin99 added on April 29, 2018 | Answered

Last spring I planted an ‘Endless Summer’ hydrangea but this spring I would like to move it to a slightly different location. Should I wait or move it now?

It is always best to move these during dormancy, but this early in spring can still be ok. Just make sure to keep it watered enough so that it does not dry out, but does not remain water-logged. It will make a fast recovery, as long as it does not get hot within the next couple of weeks.
