Transplanting a barrel cactus

I live 40 miles south of Albuquerque, NM. I just transplanted three foot tall barrel cacti outside. How much cold can they tolerate?

Barrel cactus is generally hardy to USDA zone 9, with a minimum temperature range of 25 to 30 degrees F (-4 to -1 C). Some varieties can withstand a little cooler weather.
