Transplanted crepe myrtles

We transplanted 4 crepe myrtles in March and two of them put leaves on and are doing well and the other two have not done a thing. The bark is still green when scratched but no leaves. Is there anything that we can do to get them to leaf out and bloom?

You might dig around the root ball and see what it’s doing. If the roots aren’t growing from where they were when you transplanted, make sure that they are stretched out (rather than compressed into the shape of the pot they were in, if they were in a pot) and growing into the surrounding soil. You might need to raise them a bit — they should not be lower in the soil than they were before transplanting. Other than that, make sure they have plenty of water, and hope for the best.
