transplanted bird of paradise

I had to transplant a bird of paradise in June. I dug it up out of the spot it was in and moved it to a new spot. I watered it about every three days. It has good drainage, but all the leaves have turned yellow and died. I live in Scottsdale AZ. I have cut the dead stalks off hoping the bulbs will regenerate. Will they or do I need to do something else?

Every third day was likely not enough water for the newly transplanted Bird Of Paradise.
Daily water for the at least the first 2 weeks, then you could cut back.
I would increase watering and mulch to help retain moisture.
Here is a link to refresh you on the care requirements.
