Q.Transplant & Prune Kodiak Red Bush Honeysuckle In Early June (zone 6)?
I have to move a Kodiak Red Bush Honeysuckle shrub that I planted 4 years ago for some work I’m having done on my house. I have pretty much left it alone and it is now 4ft wide and 4 ft tall. I live in Buffalo, NY (zone 6) and want to transplant the shrub to a different area. I will need to prune it as well. Some yellow flowers are just starting to form. Can I move it successfully?

It is best to prune it in early spring if it is needed. Yours is starting to bloom and it is a long blooming shrub. Its best not to prune while flowering. Can you wait till it finishes flowering? If it is still blooming in July or August wait till next spring to prune.
