transplant iris

After I transplant, how long should I water them and how often? Also, if I plant in the summer (which your information said to do), will they blossom next year?

Thanks,
DIANA

I would water them daily for the first week, and then after that, once a week for at least a month. You can then just water when there has been no rainfall.

They should bloom for you next year just fine. Occasionally, they may need an extra year to establish and don’t bloom, but this is uncommon. Along with good watering, a bit of compost or phosphorous heavy fertilizer will help them establish quickly and ensure a good bloom next year.
