toxic plants/trees

Is “Magnolia Susan” toxic? I found this site which claims it is extremely toxic (in the last part of the article). http://www.magnoliatreecare.net/magnolia_susan/magnolia_susan.html

All other sites claim all magnolia sorts are ok apart from some remarks on Southern Magnolia. I am worried for my pets…I already planted the tree.

Magnolia Susan is a cross between Magnolia Stellata and Magnolia Nigra.

ASPCA lists this plant as non toxic to cats and dogs.
