Do tomatoes grow well in an acidic soil? Is peat moss a good supplement if acidic soil best?

Tomatoes like their soil just slightly acidic. 6.0 to 6.8. 7 ph is neutral.
Peat moss can be used to bring soil to a more acidic ph.
